Turpin Leads Project Concern Medical Missions in Asia
Dr. James W. Turpin 37 heads Project Concern, Inc. missions in Southeast Asia delivering medical care to about 35,000 patients monthly. The Kentucky native founded the non profit in 1961 and now runs clinics in Hong Kong and a Viet Nam program with a 25 bed DaNpao hospital on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Turpin notes Viet Cong patrols pass nearby but says they do not provide political indoctrination. He spoke during a cross country fundraising tour while his wife and four children remained in Corona, California.
