About 2 500 workers may be eligible. benefits include up to 70 percent of prior wages and lump sum payments, with eligibility based on six months of work and at least 30 dollars weekly earnings.
Residents near Camelback and Scottsdale Roads face a $477,000 storm drain that fails to work until linked with a forthcoming Army Corps flood control system. George Iannella notes the drain, built in 1974 during Camelback Road upgrades, currently dumps into a pool behind the canal and will be connected to an 8 1 2 by 12 | foot conduit as part of the two year plan affecting the Indian Bend Wash.
