The Old Town of Scottsdale Association sponsors a 12 30 p.m. block party on Saturday with W Main St between Scottsdale Rd and Marshall Ave closed for street activities and entertainment. There will be dancing clowns free popcorn balloons a raffle and an auction with merchant contributions. Proceeds fund Old Town beautification and Christmas decorations.
Scottsdale Police report about $800 stolen from James P. Paul as he tried on pants in Hanny's Racquet Shop on 1st Ave. at Scottsdale Rd. A youth was seen entering and leaving the dressing room while the money disappeared.
Scottsdale Patrolman Richard L. Mack announces resignation from the force stating outside business interests are more progressive than his police career. He previously served as Lakeville Ohio chief of police for three years and is a Korean War Navy veteran.
