Kissinger Pressures Syria to End Golan Rift in Damascus
Secretary of State Kissinger visited Damascus amid a stiff Syrian pledge to press the fighting until every inch of Golan Heights is liberated. Security was tight with bulletproof cars and hundreds of plainclothes police as Kissinger met with Hafez Assad and Syrian leaders after talks with Golda Meir.
