Easter sunrise services set across Scottsdale area
Five outdoor sunrise services open to the public take place in the Scottsdale region this Easter with participation from multiple churches. The Green Acres Memorial Gardens event at 6 a.m. features a 100-voice youth choir led by Edward English and a sermon by Rev. Don Shumake near a 40-foot cross. Other services include Scottsdale Corporate Ministry at Papago amphitheatre and Fountain Hills’ 6:15 a.m. gathering with Rev. Glenn Atchison. Additional sites host music by The Deser Singers and The Robert Sisters trio with musical guests, while offerings support Interfaith Counseling Service. The Temple Twin Buttes service at 6:15 a.m. features the PTL Club and Ark Christian Center pastor Ronan Habig. A Mormon Temple tour and a Temple Gardens pageant are not held this year due to remodeling and ongoing tours.
