Four Hurt In Auto Wrecks In Two-Hour Span
Four people were injured in three separate traffic crashes Tuesday. Thomas W. Albert, 46, of Scottsdale, was cited on four counts after rear ending Mil lard Langdon, 67, of Phoenix, at Scottsdale Road and Thomas. Langdon was treated and released. A second crash on Scottsdale Road involved Fred C. Bollar, 63, Phoenix, whose car hit Walter Lemon, 41, of Phoenix, head injuries sent Lemon to Baptist Hospital. Bollar also injured. The third collision on Scottsdale Road injured Thomas B. Long, 20, Phoenix, and Drucilla Huffman, 19, ASU student, when Long’s stopped car was struck by Frederick L. Elman, 17, Scottsdale.

Living Costs Reach New February High
Washington reports February living costs tied an all time high at 106.1 as citrus and fresh vegetables rose. Prices for apparel also contributed with a 0.3 percent gain while food climbed 0.3 percent driven by oranges and juice concentrates. Meat prices eased though pork rose seasonally and poultry edged up. bananas and beans fell as supplies normalized.

County Demos Urge Anti-Poll Tax Stance
