City OKs 66th Street Flood Plan Containing Condemnation
City council authorizes condemning 20 feet of right of way from Carl Markoff on the southwest corner of 66th and Shea to solve a long standing flooding problem at 66th Street and Shea Boulevard. Construction costs are about 24000 dollars with eight feet of pavement added to the east half to create a 24 foot roadway and a drainage ditch instead of paving in front of Markoff’s property. The street will be designated one way south from Shea but may be reversed in the future.
