Walt retires after 44 years with Salt River Project
Gainesville native Walt, longtime foreman for SRP Western and Southside Irrigation warehouses, retires after 44 years. He came to Phoenix in 1923, started as a waiter at Northside Camp, trained as night cook at Mormon Flat, rose to assistant supervisor in 1939, and led the divisional warehouses before retirement. He plans a short trip then retirement at Diamond Point near Kohl's Ranch.
