City considers new flood fix at 65th Street and Shea Boulevard
City officials seek homeowners approval for a revised drainage plan at 65th and Shea. Rev. K B Meyer backs the effort to dedicate rights of way on 45th south of Shea and 85th Street to add eight feet of pavement and a modified curb to drain water toward 5th Street. The plan, costing about 55000 dollars if dedication is complete, aims to reduce maintenance compared with ditch drainage and to allow bids at next week’s council meeting.
