Incorporation Boundary Details Outlined for Scottsdale Area
Scottsdale Progress publishes reader letters and a report from the Incorporation Committee. Charles Ronan notes most residents from Osborn to Thomas and Scottsdale to Orange oppose incorporation, prompting new metes and bounds and petitions signed by two thirds of area residents. Boundary includes Miller to Camelback Extension and other lines, with taxes to be levied only if services exceed sales, auto lieu, and gas taxes. A meeting at the high school is planned, and notes list 1949-50 tax revenues for nearby towns.
