China likely to cancel another 209000 bales of U.S. cotton
Washington reports China may cancel an additional 209000 bales of American cotton for the 1974 75 season. The Agriculture Department weighs whether the surplus pace will rise as demand weakens abroad and at home, with 208000 bales still on order and talks ongoing to cancel remaining shipments. If confirmed, Chinese cancellations total 431000 bales, limiting U.S. purchases to about 104000 bales.
