Growth plan okayed in Scottsdale as dial-a-ride decision delayed
Scottsdale voters approved a growth management plan for northeast areas with council members Drinkwater and Hink opposing adoption. The plan limits rezoning and incentives for outer northeast developments while allowing the council to approve future construction if desired. A two week continuance was requested for the dial-a-ride proposal which planners say needs more work and a two year federal grant is sought. The council also approved immediate city government reorganization reducing departments and merging programs.
