Scottsdale City Hospital expands before completion
Scottsdale's City Hospital under construction at Ball Park Plaza and Osborn expands its pediatric ward from seven to twelve beds. The emergency room will gain additional care areas. Expansion cost beyond the initial 1 125 000 contract was not announced. The hospital board met this week to appoint four new directors and select Ralph Pearson of Tucson as interior decorator.

Navy Mission Ends In Partial Satellite Separation
The Navy reported three satellites launched from Cape Canaveral separated partially. Transit 5va separated and operates successfully while Greb III and Injun failed to separate, hindering their intended air glow observations and particle measurements. Feb. 1 failure to separate was noted, but Thursday's triple launch was still deemed the most successful yet.

Former AFL CIO official sentenced for Tucson beating death

Firemen Battle Two-Alarm Blaze at Phoenix Lumber Yard
Firemen fought a two alarm fire at the Entz White Lumber and Supply Co on East Camelback Road in Phoenix. The blaze destroyed a 75 foot paint storage shed a 40 foot shop building a 40 foot lumber and storage warehouse and burned half of a 250 foot lumber storage building.
