SST Overseer Defends Government Role in Supersonic Project

The government would fund 90 percent to develop two prototypes, recover investment with the sale of 300 planes, and project strong returns as the industry drives future air transport. He predicts a 90 to 10 chance of prototype success and asserts the SST meets decades ahead demand, promising far higher productivity than current jets.
