Bristle cone cross at Glass Garden Church a sacred relic
A cross fashioned from a bristle cone pine branch sits in the Glass Garden Drive sanctuary at 8620 E. McDonald Dr. The pine is centuries old, slowly growing less than an inch in girth per century, and has endured fire and weather. The cross, gifted in 1962 by Alexander Wiegner, symbolizes peace amid turmoil and stands beside a lava stone wall evoking divine strength.
