Vandals wreck camper of Scottsdale family wrecking vacation plans
Mr and Mrs J A French and their 14 children planned a month long trip to Idaho using a large truck camper parked on Salt River Indian Reservation land. Vandals shattered glass damaged the interior dumped water in the gas tank and let air out tires while stealing oil and smashing mirrors and instrument panels. The family saved money from chores to fund the trip but no insurance covers vandalism and repairs would be costly. The children ages range from 2 to 18 with many in school and they hoped to travel in August to visit relatives.
