Governor Pushes Mental Health Centers for Southwest Communities
Arizona Governor Raul H. Castro urged Mrs. Rosalynn Carter and the President's Commission on Mental Health to develop programs for Mexican American and Indian populations. He testified at a 20 member hearing, noting the need for centers in remote areas beyond big cities. Mrs. Carter opened the session for about 200 attendees, with 150 more spectators outside. She said the commission will issue a preliminary report by Sept. 1 and a final report to the President by next April.

Huachuca Mountain Fire Rages Out of Control in Arizona
