Chet’s Kamikaze Run and a Dog That Halted an Attack
The narrative recalls Chet’s risky night drop over Okinawa with radar gear sent in separate chutes. Enemey searchlights and gunfire marked the descent though the men landed safely. Later, only a few from Chet’s group survived the hillside landing as he joined the signal construction division after the abortive Kamikaze plan and a dog barked near their position.
