Court limits TV coverage of trials and union bans
The Supreme Court by a 5-4 vote nullified the federal ban on Communist party members serving as union officers. It also reversed a 1962 swindling conviction of Billie Sol Estes, citing televised trial segments, while preserving his 15 year Leavenworth sentence for mail fraud and conspiracy.
