Burglars Hit Home On Cactus Road Between Two And Four
Burglars pried open a back door at 9024 K Cactus Rd and stole more than $1,100 in valuables including a pistol, a camera, change, kitchen utensils, and a radio. The owner E J Starke returned home at 4 pm and found the loss after a plumber reported the house was secure at 2 pm. Police credited the discovery to the owner’s return and the working plumber’s report.

Scottsdale collision injures woman in key intersection
A Scottsdale woman was slightly injured in a car pickup crash at 68th Street and McDowell Road about 7 30 am Wednesday. The pickup driven by Ronald Prychodnik 22 of Phoenix hit a car driven by Ruth E West 58 of 7532 E Holly. West treated and released. Prychodnik cited for failure to yield on left turn and West cited for failing to stop at red light. In a separate Hayden Road crash three youths were hurt when a southbound car left the road and struck a power pole. Douglas Jones 16 of 7081 E Mont Vista and two passengers Michael Boyd 14 and Robert Willacker 18, all of Scottsdale, were hospitalized. Boyd released after treatment. Jones cited for loss of vehicle control.
