The Ascension Lutheran Church in Scottsdate will hold an annual Vacation Bible School from June 7 to June 11. Classes run 9:00 to 11:30 each weekday for all ages from preschool to 12th grade and include Bible stories hymns handwork and recreation. Community children not attending other churches are welcome.
Mixed courses and social events attract about 2000 teens to ASC for the University of Arizona Fine Arts High School Summer Session. From June 7 to 19 students study art drama dance music journalism photography with guest instructors and UA professors guiding workshops. Tuition 15 dollars with optional campus room and board 30 dollars.
