McQuiston Son Returns Aboard USS Kearsarge In Far East Cruise
Terence McQuiston, airman third class in the US Navy, returned to San Diego aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge after a seven month Far East cruise with units of the 7th Fleet. The ship called at Pearl Harbor Yokosuka Iwakuni Manila Subic Bay and Hong Kong during the voyage.

Horace Griffen Announces Candidacy for Arizona Governor
Horace B Griffen of Phoenix announced his candidacy for governor as a Republican in the upcoming primary.
