Herbs Turn Retirement Life Into Hilltop Farm Enterprise
Magdalene and Jim Hill left Houston for a 13 acre Big Thicket farm and built Hilltop Farm into a herb empire with 1700 varieties. They run a mail order business, herb inspired meals in the Garden Room, a log cabin shop, and employ 28 neighbors. Last year they served 20 000 guests and ship worldwide with no chemicals.
