New Scottsdale Convalescent Hospital Wins Zoning OK
The Scottsdale Pavilion Convalescent Hospital on Indian Bend Road near Pima Road won unanimous approval from the planning and zoning commission and faces a city council vote for a use permit. Walter Huckabee says the 100 000 square foot one story building will house 136 private rooms with 2 million in interiors and 150 000 in equipment on a 16 1 2 acre site built by Gray Construction for 1 375 000. The facility will be for convalescents only with 30 to 90 day stays, no emergencies or contagious patients, and no ambulance activity, aiming for a quiet atmosphere after discussions with neighbors.
