Woman survives crash after 48 hours in remote wreckage
Nancy Mack of Phoenix was rescued by a ground party after spending two days in a Beech Musketeer crash site near Geiger Grade south of Reno. Her husband G C Mack and daughter Lori died in the Tuesday crash shortly after takeoff from Reno Municipal Airport. Nancy, 32, was flown to Washoe Medical Center in fair to not critical condition with a fractured hand and abrasions.

Three of the four basic craft unions began selected strikes against contractors still in operation in Phoenix. The Laborers Carpenters and Tucson Cement Masons struck at two University of Arizona projects including the football stadium addition and at Air Research Manufacturing Co. pickets to be posted at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum project.
