The Charter Government Committee named council candidates Henry Brodersch Armando De Leon and John Katsenes on the ticket with Driggs. Ed Kerrick invited to join but undecided. Howard Kraft and George Miller will not run again.

Muffin the English Sheepdog Returned Home
A 24 year old English Sheepdog from 5705 Arroyo Rd known as Muffin was missing since Sunday night and returned to the Burns family on Tuesday evening. Mrs. Burns said the dog had appeared in several television commercials and was taken in by a good Samaritan who returned her.

Agnew Visits Kuwait in Middle East Tour

Fountain Hills plats approved for 512 lots on large development
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approved the first two plats totaling 512 lots for the Fountain Hills development northeast of Phoenix. The parcels, by Mc Culloh Corporation, cover 12 000 acres near Shea Boulevard and the Beeline Highway and include 231 and 282 single family lots on 61 and 79 acres respectively. A national sale of lots is planned for October. Also approved was Paradise Canyon Foothills plat of 41 acres with 32 single family lots, located near Northern Avenue and Tatum Boulevard.

Driver hit by beer bottle after chase at McDowell Road
Michael Estrada of 2922 E Culver Phoenix was struck on the head with a beer bottle after a hit and run following a three car crash at 68th Street and McDowell Road. Estrada’s vehicle damage was about 300 dollars. Police reported other minor accidents with no serious injuries.
