Krogh declines to testify before Watergate grand jury
Former White House aide Egil Krogh spent minutes before the Watergate West grand jury, issued a brief statement to reporters, and then left. Sources say he invoked the 5th Amendment as the panel reconvenes in September to pursue indictments. Krogh resigned in a letter to Nixon admitting responsibility for the Ellsberg psychiatrist office breakin by the White House plumbers.
