Papages Veterans Hospital to Move in September

The facility will be transferred from Papago Veterans Administration Hospital to a new 100 bed hospital at Voltsver Road. Dr Fisher said activation will take about 60 days after the move, with furniture and equipment needed before patient relocation during the week of September 9. 4-H Canning and Frozen Foods Programs Boost Home Preservation

The 4-H Canning and Frozen Foods programs, run by the Cooperative Extension Service, aim to boost home preservation of food across Arizona and 46 other states. County winners receive gold filled medals. the state champion earns an educational trip to Chicago with six national scholarships funded by Kerr Glass and Inter national Harvester. The 1950 statewide winner was Ada Mae Smith of Phoenix with 217,000 members participating nationwide in these programs.
