The Town of Scottsdale annexed the Monte Vika Three parcels and the Hall Craft project tract adding about 2.75 square miles to reach over seven. The Town Council approved the action at a continued meeting and filed maps and ordinances with the Maricopa County Recorder.
After months of effort, Scottsdale aims to annex the Monte Vista Invergordon tract as the town builds a sewer there. He indicated the town could afford a fourth police patrol car and the replacement of another next month, and said a two wheel police motorcycle ordered in December would be delivered today.

The Scottsdale Salt River wastewater facility on the north bank of the Salt River, near Tempe, serves about 4 000 people though the service area population is 12 000. Plans show rapid growth to 60 000 by 1965 and 85 000 by 1980, with the 1958 plant aging and hard to expand.
