Funding revives near-dead retirement home project
The $1.5 million Casa de Cuidado at Civic Center Plaza and Osborn Road resumes after a year of financing woes. Scottsdale realtors Sabo and Stave back the project with 59 beds for bedridden patients and 49 for mobile residents, to open May 1 under Lutheran Brethren operation with 24 hour nursing, a chaplain, personal phones, color TVs, and planned field trips. Crown Builders is contractor and Scottsdale Care Center partners join in the ownership.
