Maricopa County Fair Plans Bigger 1952 Event
The Maricopa County Fair and Horse Show opens March 1 at Mesa Civic Center and runs through March 9. Marcel Delporte is commissioner and manager with Mrs. G. C. Quick as entry superintendent and Mrs. J. H. Willsey secretary of the horse show. The advisory committee includes James E. Lindsay Gov. Howard Pyle and others. Entries close Feb 26 for the fair and Feb 17 for the horse show with no post entries.

Students Display Silver Craft From Karl Larsson Seminar
Students of the Karl Larsson silversmithing seminar at the Craft Village school on North Miller Road display their work at the Bank of Douglas. Items include silver bows cigarette cases tea strainers rings belts bracelets brooches earrings pill boxes and a bonbon dish. Many students are beginners though some have prior training under Wesley Signer the silversmithing teacher.

Garden Club Finds Permanent Home At Outpost Break Room
After years meeting in members homes the Scottsdale Garden Club gains a permanent venue in the Outpost breakfast room offered by Everett Frye. The club thanks Mr Frye and invites Valley residents with any interest in gardening to attend the monthly meetings held on the third Tuesday at 8 p.m.
