House Passes Emergency Funding For Veterans Memorial Coliseum

Paratroopers clash near Saigon in heavy battles
Two battalions of South Vietnamese paratroopers killed 114 Viet Cong in two bloody fights Friday night on the outskirts of Saigon. Air forces pressed rail strikes near Hanoi for a fifth day, hitting the Ha Gla bridge and Vu Chua yard as part of ongoing operations around the north. The Saigon fighting raged about three miles west of the Tan Son Nhut base, with no word on a Communist attempt to breach the airfield.

Aid deadline set for rehearing on state funds to kindergartens
Attorneys for Madison and Tempe school districts must file memoranda by 6 p.m. Monday with the State Court of Appeals seeking rehearing of a recent ruling barring state aid payments to kindergarten programs.
