From underground heat to power by downhole exchanger
Geothermal energy could provide cheap clean power by using underground brine heat rather than tapping or depleting the pools. A one year pilot by Rogers Engineering uses a downhole heat exchanger to heat water while keeping brine in place. Arizona utilities plan drilling near Chandler to test geothermal wells with Geothermal Kinetics Systems Corp. sponsors.
