Scottsdale records show a 14.3 percent upturn in city sales tax returns for 1976 over 1975, with a total of 5,620,740 and a December gain of 2.2 percent. Hotel motel taxes jump 49 percent in 1976, while car dealers, major department stores, and miscellaneous retail stores post strong increases. Construction receipts fall 4.8 percent from 1975.
