Ancient Indian trench puzzles Vancouver Island archaeologists
Archaeologists Denis St. Claire and Al McMillan uncovered a 13 meter boulder filled trench at Shoemaker Bay near Port Alberni. Radiocarbon tests suggest the site dates to about 3000 years ago with a 4000 year village history, possibly a cedar palisade fortress predating Babylon’s Hanging Gardens.

Mailman in Trier Sentenced for Hiding Letters Under Bed
A Trier court sentenced a postal worker to six months in prison for seven years of undelivered letters stored under his bed. He testified that he hid the mail because of the lovely stamps and did not deliver the letters.
