Soroptimists Champion Girls Ranch Effort in Arizona
Soroptimist clubs across Arizona support the Girls Ranch program with fundraising and hands on help. Local leaders describe the work as a community service driven by businesswomen who fund and staff four ranch houses in Scottsdale Mesa and Tucson. The effort began in 1954 with Charlton House and continues through a yearly drive to place troubled girls in a family like setting while aiding refugees and veterans through related projects.
