Pima School Faces Two Options for 1967 68 Growth

Pima School at 6330 EB Osborn Rd in Scottsdale faces choosing between building more classrooms or adding portable ones as enrollment climbs. With 956 students and a 200-student rise each of the past two years, planners consider 160 new homes by R.P.R. Construction Co and 120 by Al-Ned Homes as potential new pupils. Traffic concerns arise from Granite Reef Rd dividing the 20 acre site, with a stop sign guarding the southern end but none at the northern entrance. Three early grades run 16 18 student classes, and physical education is shared by teachers on a rotating schedule. Principal Al Kwiatkowski, a WWII Marine frogman veteran, has long tied his career to ASU honors and military service.
