Consumers Want Safety Yet Often Ignore It
The piece argues that the public desires safety but avoids the effort to use it. It cites Joyce Roark and Sidney Margolius on product safety, reports by Consumer's Union on children’s car seats, and the American Safety Belt Council on seat belt efficacy, urging use of safety devices and seals of safety to guide purchases.
