Mideast clashes flare as Arab-Israeli fighting widens

Across the ceasefire line south of the Sea of Galilee Jordanian and Israeli troops exchanged fire for about an hour. Water flows again in SRP canal after 28 day dry-up

Water will flow into the Salt River Project canal north of the Salt River starting at midnight Friday, entering the Arizona Canal at Granite Reef Diversion Dam and reaching Scottsdale by mid morning Saturday. Canals south of the river will be finished by Monday. The two dry-up periods, last November and the current one, totaled about 500000 dollars.
