Seattle Aims to Power Fleet With Wood Alcohol Methanol Plan
Seattle plans to convert about 1 200 city vehicles to methanol as fuel after a 56 million dollar project linked to waste management and pyrolysis. The program seeks an assured methanol supply from trash processing, with six million gallons to be taken by the city and a market system developed for the remaining production.
