Burglaries Reported Stolen Dresses Watches and Gear
Scottsdale police said a thief entered Barbara Shebek’s home between 7 30 and 9 45 p m Tuesday and took a gold wristwatch valued at 250 to 500 and Lotus originals worth more than 600 along with about a dozen dresses. A second theft involved two electric guitars and two amplifiers valued at 385 from a storage area behind Douglas Huntress’s apartment after a padlock was broken. A third burglary at Peace of Creation on Indian School Road saw a stereo, tape player, tapes and incense worth 390 taken after a rear door was forced open.

Phoenix man Frank Samuel Baker 24 was found guilty of indecent exposure for the third time by Magistrate Ed Boyle. He received six months probation and ordered psychiatric treatment. Soviets Withdraw Guided Missile Ships From Mediterranean
London based defense sources report the Soviet Union has pulled all guided missile ships from the Mediterranean. About 30 to 35 of the 50 initial ships remain, including several submarines some nuclear, with ports in Suez Alexandria Latakia and Mers el Kebir still used for support. The planned underground nuclear blast at PAHUTE MESA Nevada was postponed 24 hours due to high winds at the Nevada test site. The delay shifts the detonation to 8:30 a.m. Thursday as the AEC addresses opponents in a seven hour briefing. Furnace motor fire doused with $300 damage to home
Rural Fire Department reported a blaze Tuesday evening at 6 52 damaging the furnace motor of Jack Crowe at 8215 E Gary. Firemen said the damage was confined to the motor. A small grass fire at 8117 E Osborn and a trash bin behind K Mart at 7902 E McDowell Rd caused no damage.

Scottsdale police report a Tuesday evening crash at Pima and McDowell involving Vincent Sala and Jo Ann Termain.
