Missionary Lucille Hall Reflects on China and Japan
Missionary Lucille Hall recalls China's 1947 to 1951 shift to communism and the limited freedom for Christians. She describes moving to Southeast Asia before serving in Japan from 1952 to 1957 and 1968 to 1973, noting Westernization, materialism, and the pull of education among youth. She speaks at New Life Christ Community about Japanese customs and Christmas influences, and notes only about one percent of Japan is Christian. Hall is with Overseas Missionary Fellowship, 850 workers strong.
