Mrs. Mary Ferguson Dies in Scottsdale Memorial Services Planned
Mrs. Mary Emma Ferguson 87 died at her home 6430 N 53rd Pl. in Scottsdale Tuesday. Services were held at Mercer Mortuary with burial planned in Waynoka Oklahoma. She moved to the Valley in 1954 from Schenectady New York and had lived in Payson and Phoenix before settling in Scottsdale. Survivors include son Lawrence L of Portola Valley California and sister Mrs Herman Dietlaff of Phoenix.

Robbery Motive Cited in Luke AFB Sergeant Slaying
Phoenix police said robbery was the motive in the killing of Sgt. Lawrence Broughall 22 of Jacksonville Florida. Detectives said the suspect believed he would carry 300 dollars but found only 31 after he was paid early. The body was found in a mine shaft near Black Canyon City and autopsy showed a .22 caliber gunshot wound to the head.

Obstructing Justice Charges In Scottsdale Case
Mrs. Irene Muno and her son David Frazier were arraigned in Scottsdale Justice Court on obstructing justice charges. Frazier faces two counts and Mrs. Muno one. both pleaded not guilty and were released on recognizance.
