Fountain Hills emerges as a planned city with early homes
McCulloch Development moves toward a 19 square mile city near Scottsdale aiming for a 70 000 population by century end. By late November 13 homes occupied 226 units under construction across Del Trailor s Fountainan area with Valley National Bank and First Federal Savings planned branches. The centerpiece is a 560 foot high fountain in a man made lake, part of an Avenue of Fountains plan.
