Clergyman faces leukemia with faith and work
William P. Rowland rector of St Barnabas on the Desert battles acute myeloblastic leukemia. He continues to preach and lead at Paradise Valley while his family and congregation adjust to the illness. He frames suffering as part of life and urges endurance with faith. A benefit show for the Arizona Leukemia Foundation in his honor runs Friday and Saturday at his church.
