Surfboard trek aims to span California coast
22 year old Larry Capone of Orange Coast College plans a 446 mile paddle along the California coast on a foam plastic surfboard. He will paddle nine hours daily staying within three miles of shore, aiming to reach Newport Beach in 14 days to start classes. Obscene Photo Court Hearing Is Continued
A preliminary hearing for three men charged with lewd conduct was continued to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Oscar Henderson 38 Francis Barshaw 43 both of 5801 KE Lewist and Arnold Morris 24 of 2207 W Brill opened Tuesday in Scottsdale Justice Court. Henderson and Barshaw face additional charges of possession of obscene pictures. Their trial on that count is set for September 14 in city court. The men are free on bond.
