The Parks and Recreation Commission will issue final recommendations on Kaiser Aetna’s 4236 acre McCormick Ranch development tonight. The study, done with Kaiser Aetna officials, covers water storage, parks, trails, population density, public facility maintenance, school use, and alignment with city standards. A $5.7 million city participation request for water, sewer, and roadway work is also under review ahead of a Sept. 7 council meeting.

Bar visitor struck in face at Meadows Bar episode
A 42 year old Scottsdale man told police he was struck and kicked twice in the face in a fight at Meadows Bar on McDowell last night. Dale Davidsons of McDowell Street said he was in the bar about 7 p.m. when an unidentified challenged him. He was treated at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. Police are investigating.
