Scottsdale residents face higher total tax levy this year
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors adopted tax rates setting Scottsdale's total tax levy at 10.69 per 100 assessed value, up three cents from 10.66 last year. The Scottsdale School district rate fell 1.33 to 5.05, nearly offsetting gains from city state and county taxes. The Legislature's revised formula taxes homes at 15 percent of cash value, down from 18 percent, though revaluations for costs or improvements could offset the decline for many homeowners.
