Charles D. Kron, consulting administrator, will buy supplies and equipment for the hospital near Ball Park Plaza and soon begin interviewing and hiring staff for the facility.
City Hospital Scottsdale, Inc., a non profit M.D. hospital, will be completed in Scottsdale with 120 beds and ten shops. It features fireproof steel and concrete construction, color coded rooms with baths, oxygen pipes, nurse intercoms, and a large central hospital system. The Obstetrical and Nursery wing, Pediatric play area, operating rooms, recovery and emergency areas, laboratory, X-ray, and an on site pharmacy are planned alongside a convalescent patio and parking for over 200 cars. The hospital’s principal repayment relies on its non profit tax advantage under trustee oversight. Scottsdale’s hospital need is discussed in light of these plans.
