Old Science to Become English Building at ASU Tempe
Remodeling the 40 year old Old Science building into the English Building at Arizona State College Tempe will cost about 30000 dollars. Architect Mel C Ensign redesigned the facade adding outside stairways and air conditioning while preserving the structure. Inside labs will become English and journalism spaces with lowered ceilings new doorways and acoustical hallways.

Shell Oil Station Set for Scottsdale Road Corner
Plans reveal a Shell Oil service station at the northwest corner of First Avenue and Scottsdale Road. The 127 foot frontage sits on Scottsdale Road as a 15 year lease with property owner Harry Lennart. Construction starts within two weeks and the station should be operating in about 60 days with no manager named yet.
